VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE LOCAL COUNCILLOR!
NEWS ON THE GO!
COUNCILLOR NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN
Local politics can be inclusive, divisive, interesting or tedious. It can be fascinating at times and boring at others…but during all this your local councillors are there, hopefully representing you to the best of their ability.
Like anything in life there are those that do and those that don’t. You may find your local councillor is always there for you, updating the community with news and information to the best of their ability…or you might not have a clue who they are as they hide silently in the background, unwilling to participate and uninterested in your views.
Communication is key to a healthy and open political relationship, ensuring trust is both given and received, providing an environment where local residents feel happy and able to talk through their concerns with their local councillor…and now’s the time for you to help recognise those that are there for you when you need them!
Nominations for the 2020 LGIU & CCLA Councillor Awards are now open, so if you would like to nominate your local councillor, here are the categories available. You can enter the same councillor into as many categories as you like (as long as they meet the criteria for that award), but you can only nominate the same councillor once per category.
