There is a warning to local families today, following an attack on a group of young teenagers at the Peter Driver Sports Ground.

The unprovoked assault happened around 4pm yesterday afternoon when a gang of around five to six youths described as “around 17/18 and with strong Irish accents”, set upon the local group of ten youngsters, saying that they wanted the goal for themselves. Three of the young teenagers were hurt in the attack, which has left them with injuries such as black eyes, facial bruising and a swollen lip.
