SOCIAL SUNDAYS COME TO AN END

LAST SUNDAY OF THE SEASON

Recently, the Harlington, which is still closed and unable to host events, introduced “Socially Distanced Sundays in the Park” featuring a selection of live music. The events were held at The Views, where painted circles aka ‘bubbles’ on the grass allowed groups of up to 6 people to bring chairs and picnics so they could relax and enjoy the entertainment, all while socially distancing

The event is coming to an end for the season now, with the last performance tomorrow, so if you fancy kicking back and relaxing to a selection of tunes then make sure you don’t miss the last chance of 2020.

“Woohoo let the music play every Sunday in August, why not come and have a lazy Sunday afternoon with us! With an eclectic range of acoustic music to support local artists in The Views meadow. Come and support us by grabbing a drinks from the bar and throwing a donation in the contribution bucket. Don’t forget to bring a blanket or folding chair and some sun cream! We will be marking bubbles on The View meadows in Fleet, which you will be able to sit in safely in exchange for your track and trace details – we know there will be different views on an outside space, however to have a safe ‘outside performance’ we have to be responsible so please help the staff. And we really REALLY want to be doing things, so please come and enjoy some live music outside with us and maybe a good ole shandy in the good weather!”

Did you get to visit this year? Do you want it to come back next year? Perhaps you’d like to see the event enhanced by a bandstand in the local area, adding a touch of class to any future concerts?

The event runs from 12pm – 3pm and entry is free although space is limited and you do need to book a ticket to attend. To check availability and find out more about the event, please visit the Harlington website.
