SASHA’S PROJECT NEEDS YOU!
Many of you have heard about the local non-profit organisation called Sasha’s Project, a charity that aims to provide help to young people who may be struggling with mental health issues. “The Girl Behind the Ballet Tree” explains the inspiration behind the project and its future goals to help provide local help during the night time hours, when so many struggle alone.
An appeal for volunteers to help the project has been shared by Steve and Angela Forster, the parents of Sasha, who ask that anyone interested in volunteering, please get in touch:
CAN YOU HELP? VOLUNTEERS WANTED!
Are you warm, caring, understanding and sensitive? Do you have the time to offer regular and non-judgmental support? The not-for-profit organisation, Sasha’s Project, is looking for volunteers for their crisis drop in centre.
The Charity provide face-to-face support through the night to young people who are struggling and may be feeling suicidal. Volunteers will get the chance to make a real difference to someone’s future.
Anyone who is 18 or over can apply. Although no experience is necessary, they seek certain qualities in applicants, including the ability to be kind, discreet, empathetic and supportive.
You’ll receive full training and support to prepare you for the kinds of conversations you’ll have. It’s a great opportunity to help people and gain experience and training as well.
