GRANDMOTHER TARGETED IN ATTACK

Reports on social media warn of a burglary that took place in Kings Road, Fleet tonight.

The crime allegedly took place when an “older male in a black anorak with the hood up broke into [a] Grandmother’s retirement flat this evening at approximately 10:20pm.”

“He informed her not to be alarmed and that she had been broken into but that the two young lads that broke in had been caught. He then told her to check her money and jewellery to see if any had been taken and while she was checking, he turned her flat upside down, taking  jewellery and money.”

This is believed to be a “malicious and carefully planned robbery on a vulnerable elderly person”.

Police have been informed but please be vigilant.
