NEW RESTAURANT IN FLEET!
As reported back in December 2019 (doesn’t that seem like a lifetime ago now!), Fleet will soon have a new Restaurant/Cafe/Bar on the High Street. The new business will cover the addresses 259 – 261 Fleet Road, the previous homes of Toni & Guy Hairdressers and Fratelli Deli Cafe.

Back in 2019, the new restaurant was due to be called Fleet Kitchen (not the first one we’ve had in Fleet!) but is now believed to be called “Two Spoons”. Described as a “high class restaurant”, it plans to open from early in the morning until late at night, offering cafe style dining during the day and a nightlife vibe later in the evening. There will also be a children’s play area, which is bound to go down well with local parents.

The new cafe is currently speeding through renovation work and is advertising for staff as they hope to open in mid December, just in time for the Christmas trade…if it’s allowed of course. Here’s a sneak peek of the work done so far:

There’s no indication what kind of nightlife the new bar will be offering, or what ages it will cater to, but it will be yet a further indicator of how the face of our local High Street has changed over the years, with less retail and more food and drink outlets laying the path for a new look Fleet.
