LOCKDOWN VIDEO DIARIES

MOMENTS IN TIME RECORDED BY YOU

YOUR LOCKDOWN VIDEOS

It’s all too easy to focus on negativity at the moment…but possibly one of the best things to come out of this enforced lockdown is the increased importance placed on both family and community. The support and generosity shown by so many local people has been amazing, with friends, neighbours and even strangers coming together to make sure no one feels alone in this battle we’re all fighting.

Sometimes though, it’s the simple things that can turn a rough day around. A simple ‘thank you’, a song or a laugh all have the ability to wash away the negativity and to create a happy moment. So here are a few of the videos that you’ve all made in lockdown! I hope you enjoy them – they will all be added to the main #MakeFleetHappy page soon…and if you fancy making one of your own, send it to us and we’ll add it too!

VIDEO SMILES

Life may be serious, but we don’t have to be! Here we have the brilliant team at Boots in Fleet with their fantastic video, followed by a fun clip from Councillor Steve Forster. What a great way to #MakeFleetHappy, well done everyone!

VIDEO SUPPORT

Thursday 23rd April 2020 at 8pm, was a pretty special #ClapForTheNHS in Fleet as Fleet Fire Station joined crowds of local staff and residents, including Councillor Steve Forster, outside Fleet Hospital. A truly moving moment and one to remember. Councillor Forster also posted his own #ClapForTheNHS video.

Hampshire County Council showed their support for the NHS with a special thank you message outside Fleet Hospital and local resident Norma Pickles took to the camera to show her support with her NHS blue heart.

VIDEO SONGS

There’s nothing like a singalong to lift the spirits, so as well as the talented Boots team above, we have Dale Fontaine, aka our very own local Elvis Presley, singing us some songs from lockdown. Keep ’em coming Dave!
