LOCAL COUNCILLOR SHORTLISTED FOR AWARD

Back in July, we were given the opportunity to thank our local councillors for the work they do in our community by nominating them for the LGIU and CCLA Councillor Awards.

These awards were sectioned into various categories such as “Covid-19 Hero”, “Finance and Economic Development” and “Community Champion”, each encompassing a range of accomplishments and achievements within their local community.

Today, as the final nominees for the awards are made public, we are proud to say that our very own local Councillor Steve Forster – has been shortlisted for the Community Champion award, recognising his involvement with the local community and his strong commitment to communicating with local residents.

Below: The list of finalists for the “Community Champion” award.

The final winners won’t be announced until the end of November, when a virtual ceremony will take place to showcase the final event but fingers crossed for our very own “Community Champion”! Congratulations Steve!
