HARLINGTON ADDED AS VACCINATION HUB
Following a recent announcement from local Hart Councillor Steve Forster, it has now been confirmed that the Harlington in Fleet will be added as a local vaccination hub for nearby residents. This is fantastic news for the town, after initially missing out on having its own vaccination centre.
Councillor Forster shared the good news that the Harlington was looking like a likely candidate for Fleet on the 20th January, while waiting for final confirmation from official sources. Today that confirmation came, bringing with it a sense of positivity for Fleet and for those awaiting their jabs. Steve posted a video on his Facebook page explaining the decision:

The new centre is hoped to be active in around 2-3 weeks and a formal announcement will be made on the day it goes live. The centre will be able to offer around 2000 vaccinations a week, depending on available supplies.
Thanks are given to the CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group), PCN (Primary Care Network) and Fleet Town Council. As always we also thank Councillor Steve Forster for his up to the minute news for local residents. It’s great news that an agreement has been reached with Hart District Council, who own the building, in a move that will hopefully prove a very positive one for local residents.

There has been a huge response to a call for local volunteers to help with the new covid centres and at this time there are more than enough people to help run all sites smoothly. For more information on future volunteer opportunities please visit:
