GREEN WASTE COLLECTIONS DELAYS
As the summer inches closer and closer, it’s of no real surprise to hear that the garden green waste service has problem…again.
Subscribers to the failing service will have realised by now that the only time the collections appear to run on time, is in the middle of the winter, when no waste collections are actually needed but which are usually required to make up for the missing pickups earlier in the year.

The continual issues with the collections used to prompt questions and anger over a service which is privately paid for by residents but rarely seems to actually work…nowadays news of even more issues are met with a tired sigh and an eye-roll as gardeners prepare to cope with ever growing green waste mountains again.
As usual there is no time period given for the end of the delays but as the summer season is just beginning, I wouldn’t hold out much hope for the rest of the year. One good thing(?) though…the service is finally accepting new subscribers…so if you want to sign up to a service that will more than likely fail to collect the bins during the year, here’s where you do it!
