ROUGH WATERS ON ELECTION NIGHT
As most people are sitting back and putting their feet up for the night to watch the election results, or going to bed to avoid them on purpose, it seems the full moon in Fleet has other plans.
If the weather hasn’t been bad enough, there have been reports of a burning smell at the Premier Inn tonight with fire crews attending the hotel. Jack Cooper, who lives nearby, took these videos of the scene…

It’s not known how serious the (assumed) fire is but fire crews were seen carrying the water hoses in the building (in the second video) after the initial call out. We will update this with more information if anything becomes available.
AND THERE’S MORE…
But just as you sit back to put your feet back up and grab a cuppa, the stormy evening is on a roll as Fleet Fire Station (seen above) and Hants Fire Control have also reported a road traffic collision on Velmead Road, which involved a car that was left on its roof.
It appears that thankfully there were no injuries though and the police are dealing with the situation.

With the day still not over, let’s hope that’s the last of the dramas…now…back to the election results…!
