This page has been set up to help Fleet residents keep track of advice and information about COVID-19 – coronavirus – along with the latest local updates and news. It also lists where you can still shop…and where to go if you fancied a cheeky takeaway.
Information is changing on a daily basis and sometimes even faster, if you have a suggestion of something that might be useful to add here, please just contact us. The advice listed here is only from recognised and approved sources.

To help keep your community safe, if you or anyone in your household experiences the symptoms in this video, you should stay at home. Stay at home if you have either: A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature). A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).

If you can offer help to those in need by becoming a local volunteer, or if you need help yourself, please take a look at the links below:

With people struggling to get their hands on some items and stock being in short supply, you might find this local group helpful for offering and sharing free items (no businesses or paid goods please). Please take care, only leave home to collect essential items and ensure you stick to the rules of social distancing.
If you or anyone in your household have symptoms of coronavirus, please don’t attend any doctors surgery, instead stay at home and call 111. Alternatively you can check out the NHS 111 online service.
Most surgeries are now offering telephone appointments as an initial point of contact and will only offer you a face-to-face appointment if it is deemed necessary. Please call your surgery before attending. Details of individual surgeries will be listed below if known.

HART SHOPPING CENTRE
Update 26th March 2020
The Hart Shopping Centre will be in partial lock down with immediate effect. Access is available to essential shops only ie. Waitrose, Superdrug & Barclays only. Level One of the car park is open however access is only available to the above shops from the stairs / lifts at the Waitrose end. Entry to the Shopping Centre can be gained only through the main entrance by Barclays, all other main doors will be locked.Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time! Keep safe!

Many main supermarkets are offering home deliveries or click and collect options, although these can be quite hard to book and some stores are now only offering this to the elderly and vulnerable – please check with the stores for the latest information. The table below shows priority opening hours.

All cafes, restaurants and pubs have been told to close from the evening of Friday 20th March. This does not include takeaway food.

Schools will be closed from Friday 20th March and will only be open for children of key workers or for those who are classed as vulnerable.
With the announcement of school closures, we know many parents will be tearing their hair out with ideas to keep their children busy while retaining their own sanity. To give you a helping hand with this, we’ve added a section on Education and Entertainment, with information, links and resources from pre-school age to A-Level. Hart District Council have announced a two month break from council tax if requested. This applies to those who have chosen to make payments over 10 months instead of 12, the two usual payment free months of February and March, will instead be moved to April and May. This must be applied for even if you usually pay over 10 months – the date is NOT automatically changed.
Hart area parking charges have been suspended during the coronavirus crisis (does not include the Hart Centre).
Card limit has been raised to prevent the use of cash and cash terminals which may spread the virus.
Government offers refunds on advance ticket purchases as people work from home.
Government grants a 6 month exemption from MOT testing.
£15 weekly voucher for those entitled to free school meals.
