CONFIRMATION OF SHOP CLOSURE

It’s been suspected for a while but it has now been confirmed that Rendezvous in Fleet has closed its doors for good.

The shop, which has been closed since the beginning of the year, never opened up again after the end of the first lockdown and was seen to be seemingly abandoned with post piling up inside the building and a covid sign from lockdown 1 on the door, gradually fading to nothing.

Now however, a new sign has been put in the shop window, stating that it is up for lease, as any hopes for the opening of the shop were finally put to rest. It’s Google listing now also states it is permanently closed.

The sweet treats lounge opened in 2017 and the name was a reference to a previous shop that existed in Fleet many years ago, bringing a touch of nostalgia to the High Street.

Sad times for small businesses and another loss for Fleet Road.
