REMEMBRANCE SERVICES IN FLEET 2021

The annual Fleet and Church Crookham Remembrance Day events went ahead without restrictions this year, unlike the previous year when Remembrance Day was held in Lockdown.

The familiar format saw services at both the Church Crookham and Fleet War Memorials, followed by the Remembrance Sunday parade which began at the Church Road car park and ended up back in Gurkha Square for the laying of the wreaths. Representatives included local scout groups and Councillors from the area, as well as members of the public, who lined the streets and the square for the services.

But it wasn’t just those outside who put on an impressive show, as Mandi Coxall from “Sew Busy” wowed Fleet once again with her impressive handmade window display in the Hart Centre, featuring hundreds of hand crotched poppies.
